To Easter Island

Getting to Easter Island is NOT easy! Especially from Tahiti. Before Covid there was a direct flight betwen the two, but that flight died with the pandemic. So we had to fly 7 1/2 hours from Tahiti to Los Angeles, transit in LAX Airport for 7 hours, fly 10 hours to Santiago, Chile, transit for 3 hours, then fly 5 hours to Easter Island. Transiting involved going through passport control, collecting our luggage and checking in for the next leg, then going back through passport control and security. Each task taking at least one hour in a queue. Basically very tiring and no proper sleep for 48 hours.
