Today has been a take-it-easy day. We walked around Circular Quay from the hotel to Sydney Opera House. Here we took a one hour guided tour through the building. The designing and construction phases lasted from 1958 to 1973 and the building was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 20th October 1973. The designer, Jørn Utzon was Danish. The roofs are covered with 1,056,006 small tiles from Sweden. The main performance hall houses 2700 guests.

Coming to Australia marks Åshilds 7th continent, so now we have both been to all 7.

After the tour we strolled through part of the Royal Botanical Gardens before returning to the hotel.

This evening we ate at a fish restaurant at The Rocks.

Today, it was a fully day of rain here in Sydney, but it's just water, so we visited Sydney Museum to learn about the aboriginals, the native people of Australia. And we went to a really nice authentic didgeridoo shop and also learned a lot abouth this instrument and also useful ways to practice for beginners.
